About Dr. Leibovitz
Dr. David Leibovitz founded the Hopewell Springs Counseling Center in 2009. Dr. Leibovitz serves as the Center Director and is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey. He is an active member of both the American Psychological Association (APA) and the New Jersey Psychological Association (NJPA). Dr. Leibovitz has also served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the Rowan University (formerly known as the University of Medicine & Dentistry of New Jersey (2005-2014).
Dr. Leibovitz's broad background in the behavioral sciences includes having earned a doctorate in clinical psychology from the Yeshiva University in New York. Dr. Leibovitz's formal education, post-doctoral training, well-rounded professional experience, and demonstrated commitment to continued education gives him the competence and clinical repertoire to employ an integrative approach to assessing and effectively treating a multitude of psychological issues and disorders.
Dr. Leibovitz treats individuals as well as couples. Specifically, he specializes in the assessment and treatment of depression, anxiety, OCD. panic attacks, grief, relationship problems, marriage issues, personality disorders, chronic pain, ADD, anger, and more. Dr. Leibovitz also has considerable testing experience including bariatric surgery evaluations, ordered mental health evaluations for jobs, school, courts, immigration, full diagnostic testing, bariatric surgery clearance, and more.
Dr. Leibovitz has also been prominent in his sharing of his psychological expertise in various news outlets including on the radio on 94.1 WIP sports radio, 97.9 PRAISE Radio, on TV including NBC 10 5:00 evening news, in print media including the Burlington County Times, Courier Post, and in South Jersey Magazine. Most notably, Dr, Leibovitz appeared as a weekly feature on Philadelphia's 94WIP sports radio. The featured 30 minute segment, called "Therapy Thursdays" had been part of the "Anthony Gargano & Rob Ellis show".
About Dr. Ferenschak
Dr. Michael Ferenschak is the Clinical Director of Hopewell Springs Counseling Center. He is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Dr. Ferenschak has served as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at Rowan University and at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.
Dr. Ferenschak earned his doctorate in clinical psychology from La Salle University. He also completed a fellowship at the VA Maryland Health Care System with a focus on evidence-
based treatment of PTSD and trauma. Dr. Ferenschak has been a co-author on multiple peer-reviewed publications and has presented research at several professional conferences.
“Dr. Mike” treats both individuals and couples utilizing evidence based practices. Specifically, he specializes in the treatment of anxiety, OCD, depression, anger, stress management, trauma, and sport/performance psychology. He is also well-versed in the psychological assessment of
psychopathology, personality, intelligence, and other areas. He is adept at evaluations including for pre-surgery, immigration issues, emotional support animals, and forensics. Most importantly, he is committed to helping his patients live meaningful, value-driven lives.
About Dr. Chiumento
Dr. Deborah Chiumento is a licensed psychologist in New Jersey and Pennsylvania. She earned her doctorate in clinical psychology from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine (PCOM). Her internship and post-doctoral fellowship training was also completed at PCOM where she focused on behavioral medicine and evidence based treatment approaches with an under-served community patient population with various mental and physical issues. "Dr. Debbie's" past work history includes serving as the attending psychologist in primary care at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine.
Dr. Chiumento specializes in the assessment and cognitive behavioral treatment of anxiety, depression, relationship struggles/marital counseling, personality disorders, grief and loss, and health issues.
About Kimberly R. Leibovitz
Kimberly Leibovitz, MSS, LSW, CSSW is the Operations Coordinator at HSCC. Kimberly is a clinically trained psychotherapist licensed in New Jersey. Kimberly earned her Master's degree in Social Service from the Bryn Mawr Graduate School of Social Work in Pennsylvania. Mrs. Leibovitz has extensive training and experience working with children, teens, adults, and families. She treats a multitude of clinical issues including anxiety, depression, grief, behavioral issues, family/relationship issues, school/social related issues, women's issues, and geriatrics.
Kimberly uses an integrative approach to her clinical work including applied behavior analysis, cognitive behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based intervention strategies. In addition to her clinical experience, Mrs. Leibovitz has significant experience in education and has professionally managed 504s, IEPs and has formal training in school law and policy and the Americans with Disabilities Act.
Kimberly's broad background in the behavioral sciences includes spending over 2 decades working clinically with children, adults, and families. Her professional experience includes: outpatient psychotherapy, conducting school-based counseling, heading child study teams in NJ schools, and participating in Camden County special services director meetings. Additionally, She has worked in conjunction with local community leaders, including the assemblywoman's and mayor's offices, to meet the needs of our school-aged population.
About Dr. Juncos
Dr. David Juncos is a Licensed clinical psychologist in New Jersey & Pennsylvania with an inter-jurisdictional license to practice Tele-Psychology with residents of New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Delaware, and 30 other states. He earned his Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the La Salle University in Philadelphia in 2014.
"Dr. J" considers himself a “third-wave” psychologist focusing on evidence-based practices, with extensive training in mindfulness and acceptance-based therapies such as Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), and Integrative Behavioral Couples Therapy (IBCT).
Dr. Juncos provides individual & couples therapy, and he treats adolescents (ages 14+) and adults with a variety of problems, including mood & anxiety disorders, substance use disorders, OCD, PTSD, personality disorders, issues related to perfectionism & self-criticism, performance anxiety, work-related stress & burnout, and AD/HD. He also provides psychological evaluations for clients age 16+ for confirmation of AD/HD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Specific Learning Disorders, diagnostic clarity for psychotherapeutic intervention, & determination of hardship due to immigration issues.
Dr. Juncos’ extensive clinical experiences have included providing individual, couples & group therapy as well as psychological evaluations to clients in private practice and community mental health settings, college counseling centers, and in substance abuse treatment centers. Additionally, he firmly believes in the importance of contributing to the academic study of psychotherapeutic interventions. As an Associate Lecturer for the Voice Study Centre, UK, he contributes to research on best practices for treating musicians’ health-related problems and has published numerous peer-reviewed papers, including a co-authored book. In short, he believes the best therapy occurs when combining an empathic interpersonal style with the application of evidence-based approaches and an awareness of how your unique characteristics may impact your experience of therapy.
About Dr. Reyes
Dr. Alexis Reyes is a licensed forensic psychologist in New Jersey. She earned her Doctorate in Clinical Forensic Psychology (Psy.D.) from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology. During this time, she completed training in various settings, including multiple forensic facilities. As part of her training, Dr. Reyes conducted psychological assessments for the Division of Psychological Services within the 19th Judicial Circuit Court, where she evaluated adolescents and adults for various clinical issues.
Dr. Reyes is a testing specialist at Hopewell Springs Counseling Center and she has expertise in psycho-legal assessment. Dr. Reyes's areas of testing specialty include: risk assessment, parenting capacity, competency to proceed, attention deficit/hyperactivity evaluation, pre-surgery clearance, and assessment of individuals who have sexually offended.
